Game 1 The Commish's Food Fight What's on the line
Omar Harkes Meat Weasels Halas one Chicago Deep Dish Pizza 107
The Conquistador NGFFL Predators Brown a pair of Philly Cheese Steaks 50

Match # 1 - The Commissioner's Food Fight -
Omar Harke's Halas League Meat Weasels had the first of what promises to be two feasts in week one, devouring my hapless Predators 107 - 50. The Predators never managed to take flight, nor open it's talons, as the Weasels moved quickly and went straight for the soft white underbelly. Strong performances from Brian Griese at QB, and Antonio Freeman, Issac Bruce and Michael Westbrook at WR led the charge in what could be considered a blowout upset. Omar's second feast will be a pair of Philly Cheese Steaks, a more than fitting celebratory dinner of meat for his powerful Weasels.

Game 2 The Cat versus the Hat What's on the line
Felix Theonugraha daUCBCat Brown unknown 96
Michael Switzer Lincoln Assassins Halas unknown 88

Match # 2 - The Cat versus The Hat -
It's almost like something out of a Dr. Seuss storybook. The ending depends on the players involved. While Felix's daUCBcat squad lost his Brown League game this week, he managed to scrape out a close victory against Michael Switzer's Halas League Lincoln Assassins, who had won his division matchup. daUCBcat's charge was led by strong performances from "EZ" Ed McCaffrey, along with Jake Plummer and Rob Moore, as well as the Jet's Defense. Switz kept it close, getting very respectable numbers from Edgerrin James and Duce Staley, as well as his sleeper pick, Keith Poole, and the Arizona Defense, but in the end, it was probably the measly two points from Moss that was the deciding factor in a tough, close match. daUCBcat - 96 pts. Lincoln Assassins - 88 pts.

Game 3 PCFFL Bowl What's on the line
Randy La Vallee Four Horsemen Rooney Bragging rights 57
Tom Olsen Thundering Gerbils Halas Bragging rights 72

Match # 3 - The PCFFL Bowl -
In a battle that had bragging rights on the line, not only in the NGFFL, but also the PCFFL, Tom Olsen's Halas League Thundering Gerbils proved that size doesn't always matter, defeating Randy LaVallee's Rooney League Four Horsemen 72 - 57. This may be the only time you'll ever see some gerbils take on four horses and walk away victorious! Overall, this wasn't a great week for the NGFFL executive committee, as two members were eliminated from the survival game, and two of the three league commish's lost grudge matches. Stephen Davis, Eric Moulds and Randall Cunningham led the Gerbil's thundering charge, helped by sub-par performances from The Horsemen's Jason Elam (3 points), and Ricky Watters (4 points).
