Wow...with Christmas approaching, time is extremely short. It will be a very quick look this week. Obviously, nothing is 100% in football, but each weekly matchup has been analyzed using statistics from each team's last four games. This is kind of a 'what have you done for me lately' approach. When 'average' statistics are given, they are from that team's last four games. Let's get to it.
RUSHING Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland -- I tried to come up with less obvious matcup here, but this performance will be simply amazing. Taylor is back as the starter and what a week he picked to return. The Browns are absolutely horrendous against the run. Player of the week = Fred Taylor.
Bad matchups Philadelphia Eagles vs New England -- It's been over a month since the Eagles scored on the ground. In their last four games, the Patriots have allowed one rushing TD. In that time, they blanked the likes of Emmitt Smith and Edgerrin James. Looks like another bad week for the Duce.
PASSING Baltimore Ravens vs New Orleans -- Lately the Ravens are averaging almost three TD passes a game while the Saints are allowing two per contest. This is a huge risk, but Banks should be a stud again this week. Bad matchups Oakland Raiders vs Tampa Bay -- Gannon has been playing quite well lately. However, the competition just stepped up. The Bucs have allowed a grand total of one passing TD in their last four games.
