1. Boston Swarm 9-3 (1172)
2. Lewinsky Swallows 9-3 (858)
3. Hoosier Tornados 8-4 (1027)

10. Class Dismissed 4-8 (842)
11. Four Horsemen 4-8 (830)
12. Titan Traders 2-10 (634)

Only 3 teams have secured a playoff berth with only Boston Swarm having a sure bye week by winning the Terry Bradshaw Division, congrats ! He will surely as weel be the NGFFL points champion as his team averaged nearly 100 points per game ! Division Champ is not decided in the Harris division. 5 teams are in the race for the remaining 2 seats that are awarded thamks to W/L record with the edge to the two teams that are 7-5. The last spot that is awarded to the remaining highest scoring team should be a battle of the 5 mentionned teams and MediaBLITZ who might be the only team to make the playoffs with a losing record. But, now back to last week analysis :

Molino FFL (75 pts) defeated Class Dismissed (69 pts)
Molino FFL needed that win badly to stay in the playoff hunt. After all the trades made to acquire a starting QB, Molino FFL now finds themselves with 4 starting QBs for week 13 as Giant Kerry Collins, SF Jeff Garcia, Den Brain Griese and Chicago (I'm no Jim steroid Miller) Cade McNown are all back to the starting job. Two guys carried the main load for Molino to win this contest : WR Cris Carter and more surprising QB Kerry 11 Million$ Collins. Class Dismissed team was for average with five players around 10 points (lead by Steve 'ground' McNair.
Top Scorer : WR Cris Carter - 25

Hoosier Tornados (88 pts) defeated European 99'ers (72 pts)
The winner of this matchup awarded himself a playoff spot and it is not my European 99ers. Congrats to the Hoosier Tornados, hope to see you soon ;-) Weel, you knew that QB Jeff George was on fire recently, but the key position in this contest was the great game of the Dallas D (and of course the poor game of Miamai offense) as they scored a high 26 points. Marino appeared really rusty as he threw 5 INTs, Miami o-line let the Cowboys get past them for 2 sacks and more important, Dallas D shutout Miami off...On the other side, no player was spectacular as Peyton Manning, Stephen Davis, Curtis Martin, Tony Martin all had poor performances.
Top Scorer : QB Jeff George - 30

The Lewinsky Swallows (79 pts) defeated Titan Traders (74 pts)
The Traders could have upset Lewinsky this week but 74 points while looking at this starting lineup is really a great performance. Steve never thought he would lineup all these guys in a single week as Gus Frerotte led this team followed by Kevin "I'm Couch's man" Johnson and Hines "thank you Tomczak" Ward ! Lewinsky had no spectacular performance from his guys, but average was enough as Raghib Ismail led this offense (no it's not always Kurt Warner...)
Top Scorer : QB Gus Frerotte - 20

Wisconsin Z-Force (89 pts) defeated MediaBLITZ (88 pts) - Tie Breaker (Wisc 664 - 637 Media)
Damn that sucks, must have said Scott as his MediaBLITZ got beaten by the tie breaker rule and for 27 total yards...Damn, that must really suck ! With this win, Z-Force managed to stay in the playoff hunt whereas MediaBLITZ will have to chase for the 6th spot awarded to the highest remaining scoring team. MNF might be the game to watch for Scott this week as Minnesota plays in Tampa Bay. Both teams had players with solid performances but nothing stellar. Darnay Scott (18), Moss (18), Favre (17), etc...
Top Scorer : WR Darnay Scott and WR Randy Moss - 18

D.S. Dolphins (105 pts) defeated Four Horsemen (54 pts)
Biggest margin of the week as a playoff contender faced the last placed team in Bradshaw division. Only the kicker and the dedense did not have double digits for DS Dolphins whereas Four Horsemen had a strange startegy by starting Richard Huntley over Ricky Watters (not much difference in the end anyway). See you next year President...or maybe in the Consolation Bowl.
Top Scorer : RB Eddie George - 25

Boston Swarm (88 pts) defeated Tianemen Tanks (82 pts)
Boston Swarm sealed his Division domination by winning this decisive game, with what we can call a low total for Boston Swarm if you compare this to his usual 100 points. Tianamen Tanks might regret not having a Crystal Ball tell hime not to start Red Hot Muhammad as he had a hamstring injury, but that was Sunday 1/2 hour before kickoff time and we had Thursay games...Argh, that must have been hard to see that ! His two other available starter would have been enough to win this game (Illiard 7, Jeff Graham 14).
Top Scorer : QB Rich Gannnon - 26

Next week matchups will be very exciting to watch as the playoff brackets are not decided yet. Watch carefully :

Molino FFL vs Hoosier Tronados
Hoosier is already in, Molino is still out.
European 99ers vs Lewinsky Swallows
European 99ers needs a win to qualify, Lewinsky needs a win to win the Division Title.
Class Dismissed vs Titan Traders
Humm, how can I say ? Nobody cares ! Consolation Bowl matcup already :-)
MediaBLITZ vs Four Hoursemen
Four Horsemen is already out, MediaBLITZ needs big points.
Z-Force vs Tianamen Tanks
Z-Force wins does not mean qualification, but loses means out. Tanks loses does not mean out, but wins means in !
DS Dolphins vs Boston Swarm
Boston Swarm only plays to comfort is NGFFL overall lead. DS Dolphins needs a win to be sure to qualify, although a loss would not be dramatic.

Brown League, by Conquie

NEWSFLASH! Ken Po's Cleveland Browns Win! Oh, uh... that's not big news anymore is it? OK, so we know what happened there, it's the last week of the regular season, be careful who you start, get the most points you can to secure those playoff berths! The Dawgs are now content to sit on the porch for the playoffs, as the big dogs continue to run, joining him is Ebola Zaire, as we hear mutterings of something derogatory about Jonas Saulk and those of his ilk... And Commander's Starfleet Academy seems pretty much doomed to fall to a borg invasion, leaving him to lick his wounds and hope that next season brings better tidings. But being admittedly a little unclear about exactly how the playoffs are decided, it looks as if everyone else is mathematically in it! Without further ado, let's get on with the games:

Degeneration X (71 pts) defeated Starfleet Academy (58 pts)
Degeneration X puts the stake in Commander's season, while pretty much assuring himself a playoff berth. A balanced attack led by Brett Favre's Monday Night heroics was the key to infiltrating Starfleet Headquarters and stealing the personnel files, as the Commander left winning points on his bench again. Leroy Hoard (10 pts., and a stalwart starter for most of the season) started over Matthew Hatchette (0 pts.), and Charlie Garner (12 pts.) started over Mushin Muhammad (0 pts.) would have made the difference in the final results. With a win this week Degeneration X is a lock for the playoffs, but Commander would have to score well over 150 points this week to overtake Hunter's team for the most points of an otherwise non-playoff team, that is presuming Hunter submits a roster this week. ;-) This leaves the season series between these two knotted at one game apiece.

Cleveland Browns (88 pts) defeated Ebola Zaire (55 pts)
Yawn... what else is new? Ken wins again. This week's victim is Ebola Zaire, who is also doomed to the Consolation Playoffs, but Jeff can hold his head high, being able to boast that his squad was the only team capable of taking down the Browns this year... so far! Mark Brunell and Jimmy Smith lighting up the place led this week's charge to victory, and while Marshall Faulk (25 pts.) tried valiantly, he was unable to carry the team. As mentioned above, this leaves the season series tied at a game apiece

Maho Marauders (93 pts) defeated Austin Powers International Team of Mystery (80 pts)
In a high powered battle of teams fighting with every inch of their lives for playoff berths, the Marauders ended up having the final word with Austin Powers, who clings tenaciously to that final spot by keeping ahead of the razor sharp daUCBcat's teeth for the most points. Hunter was seen with beer in hand at his post-game conference, sloshing and frothing it about as he savored the return of his scoring, even in the face of a loss that left him shagless. This game went into Monday night at a stalemate of 80 points each, but Greg was the one splashing the suds as Corey Bradford and Bill Schroeder sealed the win. With a win this week the Marauders clinch a playoff spot, and Hunter simply needs to tie or outscore Felix (the only owner within practical range) to clinch the 6th spot. Yes, OK, for you technical types, he can even be outscored by as much as 12 points... Brooms are hard to come by this week, as another season series ends in a stalemate.

Atlanta Jackhammers (81 pts) defeated daUCBcat (64 pts)
The Jackhammers took revenge for an early season loss against the cats this week, even without a quarterback manning the helm. With Graham benched, and Testaverde hurt, DaVinci was counting on his other positions to take care of business, and they didn't let him down. Emmitt, "The Rocket", and Surprise rookie standout Kevin Johnson all made healthy contributions to the tally sheet, but in the end, the surprise game ball awardee of the week was the hammerin' Kansas City defense, who added a healthy 19 points to the bottom line. Felix did his best to reward rookie tailback Ricky Williams for good performance on his bench last week, but unfortunately, it was Ricky that rode the Saints pine instead, leaving Felix a little shy of what was needed to pull out the win. Again the holiday season brings a shortage of retail goods, as these guys couldn't find a broom anywhere, but the Jackhammers jumped over the Predators to take the lead in the Graham Division.

Big Sky Blitz (92 pts) defeated Predators (43 pts)
Michael Conrad's Big Sky Blitz took it to the house on the Predators this week, avenging the worst kind of loss - a forfeit. Mike made it a point to the dirty birds of the NGFFL that there's a new gun in town, and it's scope is set for fowl! Balanced scoring from Moss, Bledsoe, Stephen Davis, Terry Kirby and the Raiders defense proved more than a match for a Predators squad that seemed to get their wings clipped, getting lackluster results from the entire squad. Coach Geisler was quoted after the game as saying that "I'd figured there would be a breakdown of one sort or another before everything is over, so it's better that it happened now. We can address the issues, get back on track, and look to win out the rest of the way". With this loss the Predators drop out of the division lead, and # 2 playoff seed, but a playoff berth is still in clear sight, while the Blitz must win this week and get help to have a hope for a playoff berth, and salvage a winning season. Still no brooms in sight.

Huntley Hackers (69 pts) defeated Connor's DawgPen (68 pts)
The Hackers went into Monday Night needing 7 points to secure a in this week, and Antonio Freeman proved to be the mailman, delivering just that - 7 points to assure victory. Pete was this week's only early-bird shopper, grabbing the last broom at K-Mart, to sweep Ernest's squad for the season. Jeff George made a strong push towards earning a starting spot for the Hackers, as he amassed a whopping 30 points on Pete's bench, but Mr. Gaeta was quoted after the game as saying that "when you have a winner, a team guy like Kurt (Warner), you stick with him. Jeff's performance was admirable, but we want to be sure that he's on the same page as the rest of us before I'll feel comfortable giving him the starting nod." Jeff George spoke briefly with Leslie Visser after the carnage subsided, and while he expressed happiness over the win, it seemed apparent that the long-lingering fires of impatience loomed inside him, watching from the sidelines. The Hackers need to win this week, and get a lot of help to slip in the playoffs, while Ernest must keep in mind that his record doesn't give him an automatic shot at Ron Dayne next year, based on the draft order structuring of the Constitution! That honor falls to the winner of the Consolation Bowl, so now is about the time to turn the heat back on, Ernest!

With the final week of the regular season, comes the last chance for revenge of earlier defeats, so let's take a look back at the results of Week 5 games, as teams go head to head once again:

Ebola Zaire (53 pts) defeated Starfleet Academy (49 pts)
Degeneration X (93 pts) defeated Austin Powers International Team of Mystery (82 pts)
Cleveland Browns (81 pts) defeated Maho Marauders (64 pts)
Atlanta Jackhammers (78 pts) defeated Big Sky Blitz (69 pts)
Huntley Hackers (121 pts) defeated daUCBcat (44 pts)
Predators (97 pts) defeated Connor's DawgPen (71 pts)

Good luck to all this week, the season certainly went too fast!
