Week five Hot Rumor
Art Rooney League
What it comes down to is Hoosier Tornados David Boston and
Jerome Bettis for Media BLITZ's Joey Galloway and John
Hall. BLITZ is looking for more value for Galloway,
something they may not be able to achieve unless another
team steps up to the plate.
Tornados are frustrated over the lack of response from the
BLITZ ever since Media countered with their desire for
Curtis Enis over Bettis. The Hoosiers made no comment
regarding Enis, but apparently they wish to retain him.
Week two gossips
Art Rooney League : Molino FFL is shopping Jerry Rice in the hopes of finding a RB
He has Steve Young on his roster and the he realized he can't afford to buy
Geritol for both of these guys!
Week one gossips
Art Rooney League : MedaBLITZ shopping WRs
With the MediaBLITZ recent acquisition of Bill Schroeder,
rumors have been abounding about them shopping a WR around
the league. Darnay Scott is mentioned frequently, as well
as JJ Stokes, Eddie Kennison and holdout Joey Galloway.
When asked about the hefty $17.00 bid for Schroeder, owner
Scott Bethel just shrugged and said, "We had it laying
around and believed that Bill was the hottest prospect and
could end up being with us for some years to come. We
didn't consider it unreasonable, especially with Galloway
just sitting around in front of his Nintendo right now."
Thanks to some draft day trades, the BLITZ found themselves
with an abundance of free agent cash at $33.00.
Schroeder finished the first week of competition with 4
catches for 42 yards and one TD. If he gets hot, it could
cause problems for BLITZ opponents with Brett Favre also on
their roster.
Art Rooney League : Boston Swarm trying to shop RB Duce Staley
Also, a few weeks ago Boston Swarm said
he would listen to offers for Duce Staley so I inquired and he responed
by indicating that Randy Moss would have to be part of the deal.
Needless to say, those trade talks died a quick death.
